Privacy Policy
How Zen Links collects, uses and protects information when you browse the directory, submit a listing or contact us.
Reading this Privacy Policy will help you understand how this website treats personal information: the kinds of data that may be gathered, the purposes they serve, the situations in which they may be shared, and the choices available to you. The policy is intended to address applicable privacy and data-protection requirements — including the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, other U.S. state privacy laws, and applicable cookie and electronic-communications rules — where those laws apply. It is not a declaration that every privacy law applies everywhere.
This website may function as an article publisher, a directory, a press release outlet, a bookmarking website, a blog, or another publishing platform. Conditional phrasing is used because not every feature exists on every website.
The policy is effective from its publication on this website and may be revised periodically.
Our Approach to Collecting Information
Information collected automatically
Certain details may be captured automatically when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, visit times, and general geographic information. Much of this comes from standard server logging, which records the technical data browsers send with every request; cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies may be used in addition.
Information you submit yourself
Where contact forms, registration, or submission features are available, you may voluntarily provide personal details and content — such as articles, business or directory listings, press releases, URLs, bookmarks, comments, profiles, business information, contact details, images, or documents. Optional fields can generally be left blank, though this may restrict use of the related feature.
What Happens to Content You Publish
If you deliberately submit material for public display, it may be published openly, seen by all visitors, indexed and cached by search engines, shared through external websites, and copied or redistributed by third parties over whom we have no control. Treat public submission fields accordingly, and keep confidential, private, or sensitive personal information out of them.
The Reasons We Process Information
Subject to applicable law, information may be used to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website
- Provide functionality and process submissions
- Review, moderate, and publish content
- Manage listings and directories
- Respond to messages
- Counter spam, fraud, and abuse
- Analyze usage and measure performance
- Improve the website
- Support advertising, where applicable
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce website policies
Legal Bases We May Rely On
Where legislation such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, processing may be grounded in consent; in the performance of a contract; in legitimate interests — such as operating, securing, and improving the website, balanced against your rights — or in legal obligations. The applicable basis depends on the particular processing.
Analytics Services
Third-party analytics providers may help us understand how the website is used and where it can be improved. Such providers may receive technical and usage data, including pages viewed, approximate location, device details, and interaction patterns, and any such provider processes information under its own privacy policy and legal obligations. Where a provider offers its own opt-out mechanism, you may use it alongside the cookie controls described in this policy.
Advertising Practices
Third-party advertising may be displayed on this website, though not necessarily on every website. Where displayed, advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver contextual or interest-based ads and to measure campaigns. Interest-based advertising builds on inferences about your interests drawn from browsing behavior; contextual advertising is matched only to the page you are viewing.
Legally required opt-out mechanisms will be honored, and browser-level controls remain available. Industry advertising opt-out tools may also be available where participating companies honor them. Opting out does not stop ads; it makes them less personalized to your inferred interests.
External Websites and Links
Published content may include links to third-party websites. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control and for which we bear no responsibility. Review them before providing personal information.
Rights You May Hold
If you are covered by the GDPR or UK GDPR
You may be entitled to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability of your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a supervisory authority. Legal conditions and exceptions apply, and identity verification may be required.
If you are covered by the CCPA/CPRA
California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information; to opt out of sale or of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information; and to non-discrimination.
If you are covered by another privacy law
Comparable rights may be available under the laws of other U.S. states or regions, depending on residence, applicability thresholds, website activities, and the statute. These often include some mix of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-outs relating to targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling, with specifics varying by jurisdiction. Where such a law applies to you, this policy is intended to support the rights it provides.
How to submit a request
All requests — access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, consent withdrawal, or opt-outs — should go through the Contact Us page on this website. Clearly describing what you request, and the law under which you request it where known, enables faster handling. Identity verification may be required; additional information may be requested to confirm your entitlement; exceptions may apply; authorized agents may be accommodated where required, subject to proof of authority. Responses follow the timelines prescribed by applicable law, and refusals are explained to the extent permitted.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
Where the law requires, GPC and similar signals may be recognized. No common Do Not Track standard exists, and this website does not commit to responding to every DNT signal.
How Long Information Is Retained
Personal information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for website operation, submission processing, published-content maintenance, administration, security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and agreement enforcement.
How Information Is Protected
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards may be applied. Depending on the website, these can include limiting access to systems that hold personal information, encrypting data in transit where appropriate, and monitoring for abuse and intrusion. Nevertheless, no internet transmission or storage method is fully secure, and absolute security cannot be promised. Suspected security problems may be reported via the Contact Us page.
Cross-Border Transfers
Information may be processed, stored, or transferred in countries other than yours. Where legally required, appropriate safeguards may be applied to such transfers.
Children’s Privacy
The website does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information may notify us via the Contact Us page on this website.
Sensitive Information
Unless specifically requested and necessary, do not provide government identification numbers, financial account credentials, medical information, or other highly sensitive details through public submission forms.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in website functionality, data practices, technologies, cookies, third-party services, business operations, or legal requirements. The version posted on this website is the current version, and changes take effect upon posting. Where an update is material, reasonable steps may be taken to highlight it on the website. We recommend reviewing this page from time to time to stay informed about how personal information is handled.
